Description
The Smokestack Dining Table is a solid wood table made from sustainably harvested western hemlock sourced from British Columbia's Sunshine Coast.
In this piece, the tree grains are the heroes of the design: two thick slabs form the table top, with a half inch gap between the slabs resembling stacked piles of lumber at the mill - paying homage to the craft and allowing wood to simply be wood. The two bases, with their changing angles, give the experience of a grain waterfall that showcases the one-of-a-kind nature of that exact tree.
